There is a greater adoption of cryptocurrencies in the world than before.

Introduction

There was high adoption of cryptocurrencies within the last three years. The year 2021 was historic as many people and institutions started using cryptocurrencies. Generally, the 2021 bitcoin bullrun had a great effect on the adoption rate of bitcoin and altcoins. According to Tripple-A, the Singapore based digital asset payment company, there are over 320 million cryptocurrency holders in the world. In terms of demographic holders of cryptocurrency, about 59% of crypto users are male. Nevertheless, the proportion of females who are venturing into digital assets have been increasing over the years. South Africa and Kenya are the other African countries with large numbers of crypto users. More than 22 million in Nigeria own at least one cryptocurrency in whatever amount. In addition, access from Vietnam to cryptocurrency websites and trading platforms were in the top five highest in the world.” This state of affairs shows that many people in the country are aware of the existence and importance of cryptocurrencies.

More than 59% of the Vietnamesses that participated in a recent survey on cryptocurrency and the blockchain said that they are willing to invest in them. On the other hand, about 31% said that they are ready to use cryptocurrencies as means of online payment.

Conclusion

Digital assets especially cryptocurrency are popular as a means of payment as well as investment assets. Triple-A report shows that many people in most countries of the world use cryptocurrencies. The United States, India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Vietnam are the global leaders in the adoption of cryptocurrencies. There is greater use of cryptocurrencies in the gaming and e-commerce sectors.
