Gate Charity Donates to HAÇİKO, a Turkish Animal Rights and Welfare NGO

The World Health Organization estimated the number of stray dogs worldwide exceeded 200 million in 2017. Often, these animals are left to fend for themselves in the streets. However, in Turkey, one organization is making a country-wide impact by supporting and preserving the rights of abandoned animals.
Recently, Gate Charity, the non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, the parent company of crypto exchange Gate.io, has provided funding and support to HAÇİKO, the previously mentioned animal rights and welfare organization.
HAÇİKO is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Turkey that aims to spread awareness of and act to protect animal rights and welfare. Through grass-roots volunteer initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and the sheer willpower to improve the lives of our neglected furry friends, HAÇİKO is providing healthcare, food, and shelter to countless animals across the country.
Through Gate Charity, the Gate Turkey team reached out to HAÇİKO and provided funding support that will go directly to improving the well-being of neglected animals and advocacy for animal rights. Additionally, the team visited one of the animal shelters to provide much-needed socializing and affection to animals protected by HAÇİKO.
