Gate.io has upgraded the backtest function in smart quant trading strategies. It allows users to backtest a specific strategy within a set time period. The backtest result will display the complete transaction data of the strategy within the set time period, which includes cumulative gains, maximum gains and losses, maximum drawdown, etc. Backtest results help users to create feasible trading strategies.
Click "Copy Trading" on the top navigation bar, then click "Create A New Strategy" - Strategies Templates" - “Backtest".
Take the backtest of MACD-Perps as an example. After setting all the required fields in "Basic Settings" and "Parameters Setup" and choosing a backtesting time period, click "Backtest" to backtest the strategy.
You can view backtesting strategies in "My Backtests" - "Backtesting" from the left-hand column. Details, including the backtest date, backtesting time period, strategy type, market, period and status, are displayed here.
You can view completed backtest strategies in "My Backtests" - " Backtest Records".
Explanation:
①To filter market, strategy type and/or rate of return to view specific backtest records you want to view.
②To view details of the backtest strategy, including the backtest date, backtesting time period, strategy type, market, period, strategy return, strategy ROI, signal times, win rate, trading loss ratio, maximum gain, maximum loss, max drawdown, etc.
③To create a strategy based on the backtest result.
④To delete the strategy from your record.
Click "Copy Trading" on the "Markets" page.
Click "Become a Signaller" to create a backtest strategy.
Take the backtest of MACD Perpetual as an example. After choosing a backtesting time period and setting all required fields, click "Backtest" to backtest the strategy.
Having created a backtest strategy, you can view it in "Backtest in progress".
You can view completed backtest strategies in "Historical Backtests".
