Gate Charity Launches NFT Fundraiser for Disadvantaged Children in South Korea

Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, is leveraging the power of NFTs to fundraise for disadvantaged children. On December 12, Gate Charity opened the minting and sale of the Christmas Seal NFT collection, showcasing artwork created by children from the Dongmyeong Child Welfare Center in South Korea.
The collection consists of 1,000 NFTs featuring 50 unique drawings. Each NFT minted and sold equals one donation directly supporting the care and well-being of over 50 children living at the children's center. Additionally, Gate Charity will deliver various Christmas gifts to help keep the children in high spirits for the holiday season.
Integrating NFTs into philanthropy marks Gate Charity's first charitable blockchain initiative, following several other direct charity acts worldwide. Since November, Gate Charity has led charity initiatives in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Turkey, with several more initiatives to be announced in the future.
About Dongmyeong Child Welfare Center
Dongmyeong Child Welfare Center was initially established in 1950 to protect war orphans. It has been a child welfare facility that has nurtured and protected orphaned children for the past 70 years. It has fostered more than 1,500 people as good citizens in society.
Today, Dongmyeong Child Welfare Center is a shelter for more than 50 children who can not afford home care or need protection. To help children develop their self-reliance skills, Dongmyeong Child Welfare Center provides not only basic child care services but also professional and systematic retirement program projects to lead a healthy life after leaving the center.
