Gate.io is proud to announce the launch of the Developers (API+backtesting data) function which is an addition to its newly listed products and services. With its API documentation and SDK and historical market data, the ‘Developers Function’ provides users with an easier operation process and more comprehensive trading data. To access the “Developers Function”, you can follow the steps mentioned below.
Web: Hover your cursor on top of the “Move” button in the tabs section and click on “Developers (API)”
You will be redirected to a new page which will show you the three main functions of Gate.io Developers (API)

This function provides users with an API reference for operations related to spot, margin and contract trading to achieve automated trading.
SDK：
SDK-API
Encapsulating the request return format of the API to simplify the access process for transactions.
SDK-WebSocket
It provides WebSocket subions the flexibility to connect and disconnect, fast access to spot, margin and contract trading and the latest market quotes and private deals.

Data from the spot market includes K-line quotes (candlesticks), turnover data (tick-level trading data), and market depth (order book).
