In order to reduce the cost of contract trading, Gate.io plans to implement a new tiered contract rate scheme in the near future.
It significantly reduces the taker rate. At the same time, we provide a direct channel for professional market makers. Therefore, MMs can apply directly in the following form to continue to enjoy maker rebates
We are now soliciting comments and suggestions from our users. The new scheme of contract rate will adopt the structure of tiered rate and points deduction, and users can switch freely according to the trading strategy. The relevant draft is as follows:

Contract tiered rate:
The contract tiered rate coexists with the contract points deduction. Taker rate depends on your selection, while maker rate will still be tier rate.
If POINT balance>0 in your contract account, the taker rate will be 0.075%, and the lowest taker rate will be reduced to 0.04% by points deduction.
If POINT balance=0 in your contract account, the taker rate will enjoy a tiered rate according to the VIP level. The spot and contract VIP levels are the same schemes, and the levels are shared.
"Gate.io's delivery contract, 0% trading fee" is in progress. At the end of the event, it will switch to our contract tier fee rate plan.

Other details:
1. 30d trade volume = monthly spot trading volume + monthly contract trading volume *40%;
2. After the contract tiered rate goes online, the point card can still be used, but the points deduction and the contract tiered fee are mutually exclusive and cannot be superimposed;
3. Professional level (VIP 11 and above) will no longer generate the inviter's rebate;
About terms:
Maker: Maker refers to orders initiated to create an order book, pending matching fills;
Taker: Taker refers to orders that have a matching order price in the order book and can be immediately filled.
