Gate.io will change ticker for Zcoin from XZC to FIRO on December 8th, 2020. During the process of the change, we may bring Zcoin deposits, withdrawals and trading offline. After the change, we will bring back deposits, withdrawals and trading for Firo( new ticker FIRO).
This is just a rename and does not involve any chain swap. But FIRO (or Zcoin) has an hard fork upgrade scheduled on block 336888, estimated between 12th-13th January, 2021, to activate a new privacy protocol Lelantus. Gate.io will support the hard fork upgrade. We expect no chain split token will be generated during this hard fork upgrade. If there would be any, we will distribute them to Firo holders.
