Perpetual contracts have been quickly growing on Gate.io. In response to users’ feedback, we are planning to add a few new features and introduce some changes to perpetual contract markets. One of the new features, two-side position, has been launched on testnet and will go live on the real trading market soon.Just now, we made adjustment to the max leverage supported for some USDT margined perpetual contracts. During this adjustment,
1)The max leverage for ETH_USDT perpetual trading market was adjusted to 100X;2) The max leverage was adjusted to 50X for the following markets: EOS_USDT,LTC_USDT,LINK_USDT,SUSHI_USDT,BCH_USDT,BSV_USDT
3)The minimum maintenance margin requirements for those markets were also lowered corresponding to their new max leverage.
4)For isolated margining, margin was reset. For users who were using an isolated margin during the process of leverage adjustment, their additionally added margin might be transferred out, if they had transferred in extra margin before the adjustment.
Attention: this adjustment has an impact on the existing orders’ margins and liquidation prices. We urge every user who has an position or orders in those impacted perpetual contract markets to double check margins and liquidation prices and make proper adjustment to your orders or positions to avoid unexpected liquidations.
