To reduce users’ deposit cost, Gate.io provided the Address+ Memo deposit method for Mina deposits since Mina’s initial listing on Jun 1st. However, this method is not widely supported by other exchanges at this stage, some users reported that they couldn't transfer from other exchanges to gate.io with Memo added. To facilitate a smooth transfer to/from other exchanges at the very early stage, gate.io is going to discard the address+memo method and give each user a unique address instead. This way, no memo will be required when depositing, however, 1 Mina will be charged for first-time deposit to a new address by the Mina protocol. Please note, the 1 Mina will be charged per new address by the Mina protocol, not by Gate.io. And each user will only be charged when they make their first deposit.
when the new address takes effect on Gate.io, your Mina deposits sent to the old address will not be credited automatically. If you accidentally deposit to the old address, please submit a ticket and we will take care of it for you manually.
