Recently, Gate.io has noticed that many scammers have created deceptive links ( which are very similar to the official one) and circulated them around social media, tricking users into opening phishing websites and enticing users to enter passwords and other security information. The scammers will steal users' personal information and transfer their money.
Phishing can be easily prevented by taking various security steps, such as using stronger passwords, login 2-step protection, enabling anti-phishing codes, and maintaining reasonable skepticism of suspicious domain addresses. Therefore, we suggest you read the following reminders carefully to avoid phishing attacks:
1.Always stay vigilant when you receive emails or messages:
Please do not open suspicious links shared by strangers or suspicious articles shared by strangers. For example:
●deceptive emails that pretend to be from Gate.io
●deceptive URLs that pretend to be Gate.io's official website
●false information in text messages with suspicious links that are claimed to help you withdraw funds, verify orders, lower risk levels, video verification, etc.
●false links being spread on social media
2.Please double-check the URL displayed in the browser address bar as the official URL of Gate.io.

3.Setup the Anti-Phishing Code.
You can set it in the Password Management sector: https://www.gate.io/myaccount/antiphishcode
4.Create strong passwords. A strong and secure password or code usually has over 10 characters, with a combination of letters, numbers, and special symbols.
5.Enable Login 2-Step Verification. The Login 2-step Verification adds an extra layer of security to your account.
6.If you believe you are being scammed, please be sure to visit our official website provided above immediately to reset the login and fund passwords.
