Gate.io has changed ticker for Zcoin from XZC to FIRO . During the process of the change, users ' funds and open orders are not affected. The Zcoin (XZC) on Gate.io will use the new name Firo and the new ticker FIRO.
This is just a rename and does not involve any chain swap. But FIRO has an hard fork upgrade scheduled on block 336888, estimated between 12th-13th January, 2021, to activate a new privacy protocol Lelantus. Gate.io will support the hard fork upgrade. We expect no chain split token will be generated during this hard fork upgrade. If there would be any, we will distribute them to Firo holders.
During the hard fork upgrade, Gate.io users do not need to do anything in particular. If you wish to have your FIRO upgraded effortlessly, you may also deposit FIRO to Gate.io before the hard fork.
