The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking public feedback on whether the agency should approve Options trading for three Spot Ether ETFs from Grayscale and BitwiseETH. According to regulatory filings released on Tuesday, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) (SEC) solicited comments on whether to allow the Chicago Options Exchange (Cboe Exchange, Inc.) to list and trade options on Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF, Grayscale Ethereum Trust Mini ETF, and Bitwise Ethereum Trust ETF, with comments to be submitted within 21 days of publication in the Federal Register. The agency has not yet approved Options trading for the Spot Ether ETF. Several Spot Ether ETFs were approved by the SEC in May 2024, and since then, various companies have been competing for Options trading licenses.
