On April 24, according to data from CEX OKExChain, in the past 12 hours, the average gas fee on the Bitcoin Mainnet surged from about 2 sats/vByte to 25 sats/vByte, with a short-term peak reaching 120 sats/vByte. On-chain monitoring found that a large number of P2SH UTXO Bundling transactions were concentratedly initiated, due to the limited-time Airdrop event of Bitcoin Thunderbolt "Boostpad" launched last night and the issuance of Alkanes inscriptions, leading to a significant rise in Miner bidding. Previously, on April 15, HSBC's official news release first revealed that Bitcoin Thunderbolt introduced UTXO Bundling and OP_CAT instructions through a soft fork on the Mainnet, supporting the issuance of on-chain native assets, transaction acceleration, and smart verification, with actual network efficiency improved by 100-200 times compared to the original chain.
