04 November 18:26

Q: Today we will talk about the topic of Time Frame.

A: A lot of users asked the same questions, how to set up time frame for suitable trading.

Now let's go through the details about how to set up the time frame.

Usually on the website, there are 4 types of tradings.

Scalping

1.We call it Scalping, because the trading happens within a short time, usually under 5 minutes.

2.Time frame for Scalping is usually 1M and 5M.

Day trading

1.We normally call the traders doing trading every day Day Trader. But Day Trader is not relating this term of Day Trading.

2.The time frame for this term is 5M, 15M, 30M and 1H.

Swing Trading

1.This type of trading is for a specific swing and obvious trend.

2.The time frame for this term is 1H, 4H and 1D.

Position Trading

1.This term is specific to mid-long term trading.

2.The time frame is for 1D,1W and 1M.

Q: From above, it means we need to set up the trading type before trading, am I right?

A: Actually not very right.

How to set up the trading type is according to the current market situation.

1.As what we mentioned in the previous AMA, always analyze from mid-long term time frames to ensure the current major trend.

2.Then figure out what is the most suitable time frame.

Q: Then do we still need to specify the trading types?

A: The above 4 trading types you can take it as the reference, but always flexible to what the current trend is going on.

Q: Thanks for the information, now tell me more details about how to use time frames?

A: Usually we use Multiple Time Frames to do analysis. Please check the chart below for your kindly reference.

Q: Most of users are asking, how to consider the conflict amongst the time frames.

A: That is a good question and my answers are as following:

1.Always check from mid-long term time frames.

2.Make sure the major trend.

3.Check how many time frames are directing to the same trend.

4.Take the time frames with the same trend as the pair to do the trading, at least three continuous time frames as a pair.

5.If there's no consistency amongst the continuous 3 time frames, please hold on and wait until at least three continuous time frams directing to the same direction.

Q: Thanks for all these details.

A: And herewith a conclusion:

1.Time frame is only part of the indicators to do the analysis.

2.Please always combine candlesticks, volume and Long:Short bar to evaluate the situation.

3.Use multiple time frames is the key point.
