How to change chatroom nickname and avatar on Gate.io website：
Step 2: Go to "User settings" on the left-side menu. Then scroll down to "Chatroom Settings" and click on "Change".
Step 3: In "Chatroom Settings", you can set a new nickname and upload a new profile picture.
How to change chatroom nickname and avatar on Gate.io app：
Step 2: Click on your account information to access "User Info".
Step 3: Click on "avatar" or "Nickname" to make changes.
About chatroom nicknames：
Do not use your real name or contact info that may compromise your privacy.
Nicknames must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
A nickname can have a maximum of 12 characters. No symbols.
About chatroom avatars：
Do not use real photos of yourself to protect your privacy.
The image used as an avatar must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
You can either use your camera to take a photo or choose an image from your gallery.
If the rules above are violated, Gate.io has the right to modify your image or nickname, mute or even block your account.
