In order to ensure the safety of your assets, to guarantee favorable compliance for the development of the cryptocurrency industry, and to reduce fraud, money laundering, blackmail, and other illegal activities, Gate.io requires that all users complete KYC identity verification. Only after completing KYC can users deposit and withdraw cryptocurrencies, trade fiat currencies and participate in Startup subscriptions.
How to have your identity verified on Gate.io mobile app:
Step 1: Log into your Gate.io account on app and click the user icon on the upper-left corner > "KYC (Identity Verification)" > "Verify Now".
① Basic Information:
Follow the on-screen prompts and provide the required information, including nationality, country of residence, full name, and ID number. Then click "Next".
If you have entered incorrect basic information, you can click on "Revise basic information" to make corrections. If the basic information is accurate, select a certificate type and click "Next."
Follow the on-screen instructions and upload the document photo as per the requirements. Then click "Next" to proceed or click "Previous" to modify the information. (Note: The document information must match the basic information provided.)
You will then be automatically redirected to the face recognition verification page. Read the face recognition requirements carefully and click "Verify Now" or click "Previous" to modify the information.
Notice: If the recognition fails, you can choose to submit gesture photos on PC end.
②Address Verification:
After your identity verification is approved, you can click "Verify Now" in the “Address verification” section to start the address verification process.
Follow the on-screen instructions, provide the required information, and click "Submit" after verifying its accuracy. Then just wait for the verification process to be completed.
