When Chia mainnet tokens are live, these IOU tokens will be swapped for the mainnet tokens. The amount of circulating tokens is small at first, and will reach 5 million or above in a year, which represents a high inflation rate. Gate.io lists the Chia token when it is still an IOU. The price might be hyped due to the small supply. When the mainnet tokens start to circulate sometime between May 3-4, more tokens will be deposited to exchanges, which might cause dramatic price fluctuation. Meanwhile, as more tokens minted, the high inflation rate will also pose great downside pressure to the market price. Please beware of the high risks and don’t just ape in.
